Primary NQTs

We operate a pool for primary NQTs, for a September start only, and hold an open day, which may include a visit to a school.

The primary pool for September 2010 is now closed. Applications are no longer being accepted. You can apply from January 2011 for jobs starting in September 2011.

Secondary NQTs

If you are interested in working in a secondary school then please contact the school direct. See the Schools Directory for contact names and addresses.

We hold an open day, and visits to the schools can also be arranged with individual schools.

Teaching vacancies are advertised in the Times Educational Supplement (TES): www.tes.co.uk. and on eteach.com.

We keep a database of Secondary NQTs interested in starting their career in Newham. You can join the database from January 2011 to apply for jobs starting in September 2011. To join, you can download an application form to fill in by hand (see link at bottom of page). For more details please email RSM@newham.gov.uk
